Heartfelt: Creating the Home Page

This theme includes a home page template. To use the home page template, create a new page. The page can be named anything but for demonstration purposes we'll name it "Home". 

Assign the Home template to the page:

From the Reading Settings of your WordPress site, assign the Home page as the 'Front page':

The home page template consists of the following sections:

1. Home Hero: Content will display form the page you assign to this area in; Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Home: Hero. Pasting your slider shortcode into the page you assign will display the slider.
2. Home Hero Widgets: Place widgets into this section in Appearance > Widgets . Customize the settings in Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Home: Hero Widgets.
3. Home Page Content: Any content you enter into your home page will display here.
4. Home Blog Posts: Customize this section at Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Home: Blog
5. Home Shop Section: Customize this section at Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Home: Shop
   1. Displays your 3 featured WooCommerce products.
6. Footer Button: Customize the footer button at Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Footer: Button
7. Footer Widgets: Place widgets into the footer area in Appearance > Widgets
